Smart Card Formatting Devices

A smart card is a product used as an authorization tool for a specific process or transaction or to identify the user. Smart card formatting devices print the photograph and identity of the smart cardholder onto the card for identification purposes, and format the smart cards in accordance with the status (for example in a public transport system, discount fare for students and teachers, full fare for others) of the cardholders.

In order to discourage counterfeiters from making fake smart cards, E-Kent's smart cards contain a circuit chip and various security measures. Since verification of the smart cards is performed by a machine as much as visual inspection, most of these security measures are visual. Verification by a machine is made by means of a special protocol providing communication between the card processor and reader.  For this purpose, the visual security measures of the card must be difficult to reproduce, must require sophisticated knowledge and know-how, and must contain irreproducible technical details. E-Kent's security measures include signature panels, rainbow prints, decorative lines, micro inscription, ultraviolet inscription, holograms, laser burning and embossed inscriptions.

Central Management and Reporting

General reports, intrusion reports and process reports can be produced any time at pre-defined locations for public transport stations, fair and congress halls, sports facilities, theatres, kiosks, vending machines, car parks, museums, etc.

These reports can be produced for a specific period or on the basis of day, hour or minute by making very detailed inquiries, and contain detailed answers.

If the limits defined by the central system are exceeded, the system promptly issues a report and sends it by SMS, e-mail or daily/weekly notice to alert the management.

Reports can be stored in any format.
