Electronic Ticket Vending Machines
In the twenty-first century, time is more precious than ever, and people need products and services they can pay for quickly and efficiently. Coin, credit card or smart card-operated vending machines are popular in developed countries, but they are not yet common in Turkey.
In recent years, services made available to passengers and commuters have undergone significant changes in developed countries. Ticket vending machines can now be integrated with a central system. They can be used for making payments in cash, by credit card or by smart card.
Hand-Held Terminals
Hand-held terminals are small, portable computer terminals, typically small enough to hold in one hand. Their main function is to store, interpret and process data entered manually or through a barcode/RFID reader. They upload the data stored in their memories to various systems. Data uploaded by various terminals is collected in a central system and categorized by service.
E-Kent supplies hand-held terminals for ticket officers at stations. Light and easy to carry, the current HCT8000 model of hand-held terminals can read magnetic tickets and smart cards, and display the data they read on their screens.
